  1. a 155 would probably be OK, there is although more than just size that goes into getting fitted for a board.  the first thing is you have to figure out whether your going to be doing a lot of park or back country riding.  a shorter board is good in the park where as in the back country you would want a  longer board.  the other thing is how much you weigh, a very flexible board wouldn't be a good Idea for some one heavy because it is a lot less stable and if you land tail down from a jump it would snap off or crack after its broken in.  go to  your local board shop and have them fit you and put something together.  then if you are shopping on line you can get the same or similar set up.

  2. I think that would be OK.

  3. Its definitely not going to be the easiest to learn on. But you should be OK,    When I'm teaching I prefer to have my students have there deck right up to about there chin as, that is the perfect size to learn on.  I'M 5 '10 and I have a 154. Some people may feel that its to short for me but , they don't know what they are talking about hehehe..    The shorter your deck the easier it is to learn linked turns and things that are important for a beginner to learn. ( not any shorter than your chin UNLESS JIBBING)   Its all about personal preference. Some kids I instruct with are same height as me and rockin 147, and in the same breath, there are kids just as tall as me rockin 161s  LOL. SO bottom line its gonna come down to what feels the best for you, and what your comfortable with.   Strap in on your carpet @ home and jump around on the thing. If it feels wack, it probably is. If it feels aight , your all set
