I'm 5'7 16 years old and about 160.. If i were to get on a work out regiment how many lbs would i be able to gain (supplements- only protein) in about 5 months, i'm lookin to lose about 5 pounds from running then gain back about 15 lbs of muscle for 10 lbs of net gain, is that realistic or should i set my goals smaller?

  1. Well I am 5'8 and was 150, I lost 10 lbs from playing a lot of basketball and baseball so its not only running that will help you lose fat. To gain muscle you gotta eat a lot of white meat like chicken breast and wings, then you have to lift, lift, lift. Go on the internet to find some workouts. and don't stop running, that will build leg muscle's and help you lose any extra fat so you look even leaner when you gain the 10 lbs of muscle. This will take you about 3-6 months depending on your pace.

    Good Luck

  2. at 5' 7" your not gonna want to get much heavier.

  3. In 5 months? That sounds about right. BTW this is baseball, not Health ;)
