  1. lol

    I am a boxer in Woodland, CA...I weigh 190..used 2 be a solid 200. im 16...and im 5'8"

U do not have to loose the weight to be a boxer u can be 200..200 is fine but if u want to loose weight so that u can be in a lower weight class than i suggest running running and more running..jumprope... and maybe stationary bike...but if ur asking how 2 loose weight to become a boxer chances are u havent even stepped in the boxing gym...u have 2 train about 6 months b4 u even should start to sparr and that is plenty of time to loose tha wieght...also u have to work out every day no slacking off

  2. Does Floyd Mayweather come on here and ask questions like this?

    What about Kelly Pavlik?

Get your *** in the gym.  There's no easy solution.

  3. Cut off a leg

  4. if this is a serious question then give up the dream.

If you want to lose weight, then get out running between 4-6 times a week for 30-60 mins. Also start a weight training program to boost your metabolism and strength, try and hit 3 times a week weights

  5. Stick your finger down your thorat after every meal.

    it works for me

  6. just start training it will fal into place.

  7. you lsure you want to ose that much weight? I don't know what your body type is but you should speak to a doctor about how much weight is healthy for you to lose. if you lose too much weight it will take away from your strength and stamina

if you want to box then join a boxing gym and start training hard. one piece of advice on nutrition I will offer you is this... make sure that you get a lot of protein, don't eat anything with white flower or refined sugars, and make sure you eat a ton of vegetables and some fresh fruits. also cut soda and any junk food out of your diet.

  8. the almighty cleanse.

  9. whats wrong with ur weight.ur weight is pretty good as it is now

  10. You may not need to go all the way down to 140.  It depends on a bunch of things.  Here's a start.  Is the 200lbs a lot of excess weight?  Your natural body might not be 140.  You MUST have all the right tools to be a boxer.  Your first two, and most important are..................

PATIENCES and TIME:    There IS no Fast and Healthy.  You MUST take your time and let the weight come off gradually.  The key to being a good boxer is to fight at your natural weight.  This means train as hard as you can (Smart too. Sometimes hard and smart are not the same).  Whatever weight you feel most comfortable at is where you should fight.

Example:  Some fighters fight below their most comfortable weight for one reason or another.  Tito Trinidad killed himself for at least 2 years to come in at 147.  He should have moved up long before he did.

BALANCE:  This is something many boxers don't have, good balance.  WALK 5 miles everyday for 5 days.  DRINK A LOT OF WATER!!!  Your body will kick into another stage.  After your 5 days rest for one day.  Depending on how you feel you can increase to 7-8 miles a day for about 10 days.  OR you can begin light running with your walk.  You MUST be honest with yourself.

If you can get past this stage you have proven that you have the PATIENCE, DISCIPLINE, and DEDICATION to be an athelete.  There is still A LOT more to being a boxer.

It doesn't sound like you will be ready for sparring for a while.

Work on your conditioning.  Go to a boxing gym and learn how to use the equipment.  It's a good idea to go with someone you trust.  There are often guys with a little experience looking to pad their egos at the expense of some novice.  Dont be talked into something you're not ready for.   At the same time,  when the time comes, dont be afraid to take a few risks..  Be sensible.  BOXING IS NOT SOMETHING TO TAKE LIGHTLY.  You can be seriously hurt if you're not careful.

Develope a good working relationship with your trainer.  There is a lot more but if you make it past this stage you will know what to do next.

    Good Luck

  11. hey dont listen to these haters dude. what u need to do is get a sweat suit, also called a suana suit. wear that and put a pair of sweats on over it. It is gonna be hot, but you will literally melt the wieght off. I have 1, when i take it off, it literrally drips of sweat.

They are really cheap too, here is where i got mine...http://www.achievenutrition.com/valeo_sa...

mine tore, and they happily exchanged it and i got my new one in 2 days. So go with them

Wear it and hit the heavy bag for about 40 minutes, jump rope for 10, and run for 10. You drop 10 pounds in 3 days AT MOST. Eat healthy but dont starve, big breakfast, salad for lunch, and last meal another salad, BEFORE 6pm.
