I have been ttc and I am now at 5 dpo. I have had high temps since I ovulated. I havent been using a bbt just a reg. thermometer. My temps have been 100.6, 99.9, 99.9,100.0,100.1 and I have had sore b***s and terrible headaches. I went to the doctor because I thought I might have had an infection but he said everything looks good. We had s*x alot around Ovulation and before so I hope we conceived. What do you think?

  1. Your temps typically will stay up from the day you ovulate until you start your period.  So unless it is up for 18 days the temp will not indicate a pregnancy.  You will need to wait until you are supposed to start you period and test (or take a more sensitive one sooner).

If you don't get pregnant I suggest getting a BBT thermometer, they are more accurate and start charting on fertilityfriend.com.  Make sure you are taking your temp at the same time every morning, before you get out of bed or even sit up and after at least 3 hours of sleep.  Your temps seem pretty high which might be because of the type of thermometer you are using.

    best of luck!!!!.

  2. Wow, those are some high temps for sure.  But, since you're only 5DPO, there's no way your pregnant yet.  The 'embryo' takes anywhere from 7 - 12 days to implant (7- 12DPO), and then it takes a couple days after that, before you'd even have any symptoms of pregnancy.  I wish it was that easy though, that would be nice.

I agree, get yourself a basal thermometer, they're way more accurate for this type of temping.

PS - I swear our bodies love to play tricks on us when we're TTC.  I didn't notice anything about my cycles, until I was trying, now, all of a sudden I get all the symptoms of pregnancy - and we've been trying for almost 22 months now.

I do wish you sticky baby dust tho - good luck!
