Ok im a swim instructor and i highly recommend taking private swim lessons they are pretty expensive but very efficient. try just falling in and blow bubbles through ur nose and mouth it might sound a bit silly but it really works try dunking ur face in a couple tries until u really get used to it good luck

going under water isnt scary and doing that wont impress them buy a ripstik and get good at it that will impress them trust me it works for me
