  1. No, at with a swing speed less than 80 mph.  We are not getting any younger, we are not as flexible and our swing is not as fast as it used to be.  I used to use a stiff flex shaft but now I am using the regular flex shaft and my game is better from the change.

  2. Probably.

  3. senior graphite flex definatly i am beyond 56 went seniors 47 years old  started to carry five wedges , took driver 5 7 woods out  1 hybird easier on body and scores

  4. shouldnt this be in the s*x questions? 75 miles an hour? any chaffing?

  5. NO senior flex

  6. no stick with irons.

  7. No, you might find in play that you are pulling or pushing the ball.  This happens because you arms are not rotating fast enough around your waist, so the clubhead is left behind because it is more difficult to bend.  Your speed should be the flexible shafts but I am around your speed too and i use regular shafts.  I feel that the flexible is too whippy and it is uncomfortable.  these new flexes allow the clubhead to center more so you should hit straighter shots

    hope i helped you out

  8. no you should deffinetly be using a regular or senior flex shaft. a stiff flex is good for speeds from low 90s to around 115 mph or so...

  9. Actually, you should be using a "lite" flex or "senior" flex shaft.

Stiff flex shafts for the most part are for 105+ mph.

Here's some more info to help you out

"Flex" refers to the ability of a golf shaft to bend as forces are applied to it during the golf swing.

Those forces are generated by the type of swing that you have - fast or slow, smooth or jerky.

There are five generally used ratings for shaft flex: Extra Stiff, Stiff, Regular, Senior and Ladies, usually denoted by the letters X, S, R, A and L ("A" is used for Senior because this flex was originally called "amateur").

Having a flex that doesn't match the needs of your swing will result in the clubface being misaligned at impact, causing your shots to go off-target.

the R flex from one company may be the same or different in comparison to the stiffness of an R flex shaft from another company. The same is true for each of the other four basic flex letter codes.

Thus when selecting the right shaft for your swing mechanics and swing speed, it is important to find a clubmaker or sales person who really knows the differences in shaft flexes to advise on your shaft selection.

  10. Probably not, to be using stiff you should have a swing speed of at least 85 mph.  A regular shaft would fit your swing a lot more than a stiff shaft.
