I was told that Specialized makes a 29er that would be good for me. What worries me is the cranks. Can they withstand my powerful legs and weight? Thanks for your help. I am just looking for a bike to exercise on, terrain is of little concern to me.

  1. I was going to suggest a 29er, I have no idea what cranks they run but if you're just exercising on it they should hold up.

  2. One with kenworth shock absorbers on them.

Good luck with finding one champ, try walking first, loose a bit of beef off ya body first mate.

  3. Specialized Rockhopper Comp 29er

Assuming that is the one recommended -- its a very strong bike that you should be very happy with.  If you feel the cranks are too wimpy, your Local Bike Shop should be able to upgrade you with these:

Race Face Atlas Crankset with X-Type BB.

    No worries after that.

  4. your best bet would be to build a bike with 29" wheels but go to a frame builder for the frame and have it custom built for you becuase you are very tall.

as for cranks I would reccommend race face it is some durable stuff but then again shimano is fairly stiff too.

they both hold up for me and i can gaurentee that i put out more power than you will be able to

  5. sean o your a disrespectful prick
