    I take, Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Hapkido, Judo, Brazillian jiujitsu, bits of muay thai, and kick boxing any one of those would be good for ya, cept muscle control in hapkido

  6. There are a couple of old-as-dirt Shaolin animal styles that were designed for large people. One was Bear and the other was Elephant. Good luck finding a teacher. They're both mostly organized brawling but they work from plain old brute force rather than all the fancy stuff. Most teachers have never heard of them and if they have, they probably only saw bits and pieces hidden in other kung fu styles. Both fell in to obscurity because it was hard to find someone big enough to do them right in Asia. The elephant style resembles "traditional" Thai martial arts (not the sport/prize fighting system the whole world is currently going ape over) and since Thailand is big on both buddhism and elephants, I’ve always thought there was a connection. Watch that Protector movie with Tony Jaa. His training scenes looks a lot like the elephant moves I've seen. Tiger kung fu needs a lot of strength but more speed than elephant or bear. Praying mantis is another. Most of the Japanese stuff is good for strength/size over speed since they don’t have you flying around the room like a wushu competitor. Carlson Gracie’s version of BJJ (yes, there is a difference) likes power. Don’t overlook American boxing or basically anything that keeps your feet on the ground and uses mostly hand movements. If you’re tall and thin rather than tall and enormous, then snake kung fu and some of the Korean kicking styles would be good.

  8. hmmm. I would say brute force is ur biggest advantage. So striking like karate, boxing, tae kown do, maybe even jeet kun do. Maybe even some wrestling can help. Imagine doing wrestling moves and having strength to do even more damage.

I know everybody HATES Tim sylvia. me living five miles away from pat miletich camp where sylvia trains, watched his training wich consist of mainly kick/ reglar boxing( which at the time pena boxing camp did all the stiking training for miletich) and take down defence. the guy was a champ, but where he failed is his lack of constant training/ to much drinking and boozing. cro-cop is just a kickboxer and he did well with no ground game. the point is these two fighters sylvia/cro-cop have little ground game and did well for themselfs. h**l tim didnt even strart fighting till he was in his mid to late 20s. and dont forget chuck liddel the one-dimensional- boxer/slugger chuck hardly ever goes to the ground.
