I am 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow. I have gone in for 4 HCG test now.?

The first test was last week on Tues and was 495 it then went up to 889 2 days later (Thursday). I was tested again this Monday and it was 5,389. I was tested again today and the results are not in yet. My concern is someone told me that they should be able to see a heart beat @ 6 weeks no exceptions. Has anyone heard anything different?

I am getting another ultrasound done on Monday and I will be 6 weeks and 4 days. I had a miscarriage 6 months ago and am afraid the same thing will happen.

No, that is not right for anyone to say you should be able to see a heart beat @ 6 weeks no exception.  It IS usual to be able to SEE it at this point but to say no exception just isn't right.  

Take it easy right now, with your HcG rising things look promising!

Whoever told you that "no exceptions" they can find the heartbeat at 6 weeks is wrong. My daughter had 5 children and each pregnancy was different.

Now, the ultrasound will possibly catch the heartbeat, but it is not always so. I think they should wait until you are 8 weeks. But, I am sure with those HCG levels that all is well!! And hopefully, you will be lucky and see and hear the heartbeat with the ultrasound! Congratulations!

Well i dont think anything is wrong. It looks like your levels are doubling like there supposed to. Not everyone can see a  heartbeat at six weeks. I wouldnt worry about it. I had a miscarriage last month and im pretty sure im already pregnant again so i know how you feel!
