  1. well i wouldnt think so cuz 1 glass of wine is sopose to be good for your heart. but i would stay away from alcohol if you want to keep it.

  2. I think you are fine. My OB that I had with my younger 2 kids said that the occasional drink is OK. The 'NO alcohol while pregnant" thing was created for those moms who think that occasional means stupid drunk on a regular basis. those of us who know what occasional means can enjoy a glass of wine without fear for the health of our children. Before you lay a big guilt trip in yourselftalk to your OB at your next appointment.

  3. YES, Bad!

A babies development is at risk from external factors especially during the first trimester as this is when organs and brain developement establish.

Why would you even take the chance just for a glass of wine?

Some may say its ok, its just 2 glasses, but if anything did go wrong - those 2 glasses of wine will play on your mind forever

  4. Nope, I've heard it is ok to drink 1 a day, but I wouldn't get into that habit

  5. Each to their own, its your pregnancy and your body.

In my opinion i dont agree with drinking while pregnant.

I had a baby july 07 and never touched a drop, im now currently 11 weeks and 3 days with #2 and stopped drinking the day i found out i was pregnant.

The way i look at it 9 months isnt that long to go without a drink for the sake of your babys health.

  6. well its early in the pregnancy so their might not be anything wrong with the baby, but thier is always a chance. dont feel guilty, you didnt know.

  7. Most doctors say one glass a day is fine, some say one glass a week. You are in the first trimester, so your baby will be fine. Make sure to consult your doctor to find out what they recommend for pain relief, drinking, even things such as caffeine, type of fish you can eat. Good luck with your pregnancy!

  8. i depends on how big the glasses were but most of me says that it does not matter

  9. No it is not bad.

  10. it wont do you any harm but leave it at that  - dont feel guilty though

  11. its ok wats is done is done do move on dont worry too much u,ll be fine and be careful for next time.

    GOOD LUCK

  12. I love how quickly some people say that "... obviously any alcohol is bad for baby!" It cracks me up that they would flaunt their ignorance so loudly.

Anyway, two glasses in three weeks isn't so bad; but consider that you are in the first trimester and should not have any alcohol at all during the first trimester and most of the second trimester. This is due to the possible tetragenic effect of the alcohol; meaning it can cause birth defects when the fetus is this early in development.

That said, in the latter second trimester and in the third trimester, a glass of red wine has shown some benefit (as have certain beers, such as stouts, wits, or hefeweizens). The reason is actually the isoflavinoids contained in the drink. For those who do not drink, the isoflavinoid compounds can be purchased as an extract in some health food stores. Nevertheless, I'm talking only one glass every few days or so at most. More than that and harm can still befall the child.

The use of any alcohol should be discussed with your obstetrician before you imbibe, however; and this is regardless of where you are in your pregnancy and what you choose to drink.

    Cheers!

  13. no, a small drink now and then is ok, just dont overdo it.

  14. Well, at least now you know you should not do it. Glad you are able to stop in time and know it is bad. Obviously any alcoholic beverage is never good for a baby.
