I am American Citizen, can I fly from Mexico City to Rome?

I was born in Mexico, but I became an American citizen many years ago. I am planning to go to Rome with my sister who lives in Mexico City. She wants me to go in the same flight with her. What documents do I need to flight from Mexico City to Rome?

As the others have said, you will need a passport.  You did not mention whether or not you have a passport, but from your statement, I am assuming you do not.

It takes time to process a passport, especially for a first time applicant. I do not know when your date of departure is, but you should take care of this immediately. Go to your local US Post Office for details.
