I need to get a visa for a trip to Zimbabwe (only for a week). I am British and hold a British passport but do not have time to get one from the Zimbabwe embassy in London.

I am however going to be in Nairobe for 6 weeks prior to my trip to Zimbabwe. Would I be able to get a Zimbabwe visa from the Zimbabwe embassy in Nairobe? Or is this only for holders of Kenyan passports??

  1. UK British Passport holders require a visa to visit Zimbabwe. UK passport holders do not require to obtain the visa in advance prior to arrival but can get it on arrival at the airport or at any border post. I am assuming that you are planning on visiting as a tourist or visitor and not planning on going to Zimbabwe for other reasons like work or study. If you are a journalist you may not be allowed in, so it may be better to describe yourself as a teacher (or something similar). You may be able to stay as long as 3 months in Zimbabwe provided immigration accepts that you have sufficient funds. The VISA is not free and costs US$55 for a single entry  ÃƒÂ‚£40. You can only pay in US dollars or in UK pounds. Cash only. It is cheaper to pay in US dollars than in Pounds as 55 dollars is worth less than 40 pounds. No other currencies are acceptable. Credit cards are not acceptable, cash only. A double entry visa is also available (this allows you to leave Zimbabwe and return again without having to pay the 55 US again). The double entry VISA costs 70 US dollars. If you want a mulitiple entry VISA you need to apply in advance to a Zimbabwean embassy. Prices depend on the number of entries you want. Hope this helps

  2. countries that do not have to apply for a vsa before entering Zimbabwe:

    United Kingdom is in the list ;

    you can obtain a visa and paying the fee when entering Zimbabwe.

  3. It depends on why you are going there.  If you are a tourist, it is possible.  If you are a journalist, forget it.

  4. Google it

  5. Why do you want to go and give revenue to the disgusting animal that is Mugabe.
