  1. No person (including christians can live 100% of the law which is God standard).

Jesus paid for all sin (including all christians)

Jesus forgives any sin a christian does if they only ask.

    note:

sin can cause troubles and heartache and best to avoid.

  2. I do not think you can just accept Christ and all will be well. I do believe that you need to try your hardest to live the 10 commandments. However you are not perfect and there will be times that you will sin. So, when you sin, then you must go through the repentance process.

To repent you do have to come to a realization that what you have done is wrong. Confess your sin. Do what you can to make it right understanding that somethings cannot be fixed, pray for forgiveness and NEVER DO THE SIN AGAIN.

In other words true repentance is not something you do blithely, you really change your mind set and life. Here is the miracle though, your Father in Heaven will help you and wants to help you if you will ask in Humility with a true desire to change.

I think that you will be fine, just keep working toward it. The only person who will ever keep you from 'heaven' is you.

  3. Being a mythical place, no one gets into heaven.

  4. No one is perfect, the important thing is rather or not you're trying.

  5. Just being alive and breathing is a sin.

  6. it's not by works it's believing Jesus died for you and is risen and you accept HIM as Lord and Savior

  7. Jesus says you will know them (those who are saved vs. not saved) by their fruits.

It is not possible to be an apple tree growing grapes. Nor is it possible to be a grape vine growing apples.

We are not just told to ask for forgiveness, but to turn away from the sin. It's not always easy and at times it is a process, but the true mark of a Christian is someone who realizes the sin, seeks forgiveness, and then turns away from it.

  8. I thought the deal was that if you are truly repentant when you ask for forgiveness you will still get into heaven?

  9. We are to repent(turn) from our sins. We wont be perfect but God will help us to do better. Allow Him to work through you by His spirit. This is the only way we can ever do anything without sin.

  10. Jesus told the woman caught in adultery to go and sin no more.

being saved is not a license to sin but we do mess up from time to time and we must ask for forgiveness.

if you keep doing the same things over and over again then you should re examine your relationship with Christ.

  11. We need to make a "try" - our best effort, in an attempt to please God. But, no matter how well or how poorly we perform - salvation is a free gift from God that we cannot "earn" by our behavior.  I believe MOST of the reasons behind the ten commandments is not that God wants to thwart our "fun" - but rather to protect us from the harm that sin does to ourselves and to other people.  So we need to TRY - but we WILL fail, we will sin and we need to confess our sins, ask for forgiveness, make a firm resolution to amend our ways and TRY again, and again, and again.  I believe that God is pleased when we at least TRY.  Fundamentalists get stuck on salvation by believing and accepting - yes, definitely - it is a free gift from God and NOT earned. But in return for the love that God gives us - we can TRY to love Him by TRYING to obey His commandments.  To believe that by "accepting salvation as a free gift" means that we will never sin again is outrageous.  We ALL sin - and we need to TRY to improve.

  12. We sin by choice.

    Think about that.

Made better choices and you'll get there.

Inclination to sin is not sin, but consenting to sin, to give way to anger (for example) is sin.

    God love you!

  13. Why do you continue doing something you know better than to do?.....that's why it's called temptation my dear.  Ask God to give you the strength to resist temptation.  Personally, I believe if you are only good because you want to go to heaven, that's not where you may end up.

  14. My friend is a man of little words and he puts it this way:

Accepting Jesus Christ should change your life, direction, goals, wants, desires!

    If nothings changed?

    Then nothing has changed!

However, I'm the chatty type, so, here's my explanation

Countless individuals have said “the sinners prayer” yet, as time went on, it became clear that something was lacking! Their lives were unchanged, therefore, it was NOT a work of God! After all, “faith without works is dead.” Saving grace really does begin with a prayer, but it doesn’t END there, or else something’s very wrong!

"And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked." (1 John 2:3-6 KJV)

"Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." (Matthew 7:22-23 KJV)

    So, what was missing?

One can not TRULY put his faith in Jesus’ sacrifice without fully and completely recognizing the NEED for a Saviour!!! When we realize just how severe our sins are, in light of the holiness of God, this should bring us to our knees in humility! Recognizing that God has spared nothing to redeem us, leads such ones to sincere repentance. It is only then that one can truly accept the offer of redemption, putting his faith in Jesus' sacrifice. It is in this moment that one becomes “born again” and this will be evidenced by a changed life! Time will prove that he was not just “going through the motions.” And when the fruit of the Spirit (see Galatians 5:22-23) become evident in his life, it is not through his own effort, but the power of God working to restore him!

Any credit we take for doing “good works” cheapens the Grace of God! And this is why we must acknowledge that is by faith, not works that we are saved! We are in such bad condition that when we try to earn favor with God through our good works, Isaiah 64:6 tells us that our righteous deeds are like filthy rags to God. In Mark 10:27 Jesus is answering His disciples’ question, “who then can be saved?” He said, “with man, this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible.” God realizes that man cannot possibly save himself through door-to-door preaching or ordinances of a church. That’s why God did not send an organization or a church to offer us peace with God, but He sent His Son Jesus Christ.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16 KJV)

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" (Ephesians 2:8 KJV)

"And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work." (Romans 11:6 KJV)

"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:" (Romans 5:1 KJV)

  15. u will be forgiven like u forgive others...... and dont forget the law of cause and effect...... the energy u send out is the same kind u get back....

  16. the bible says that if we love God..we will keep His commandments. We dont just get to heaven by believing God... we must repent of our sins which is turning away from them completely... and we must be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of those sins and we will receive the promise of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2) God's Spririt wont live in an unclean temple... What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

    1 Cor. 6:19

A lot of people think they are going to make it to Heaven just bc they believe in God...but we have to love Him! We have to serve and live for Him! He expects that from us... and He has so much to offer His followers who do love Him! God bless you! if you have any questions....email me! twin_summers@Yahoo.com : )

  17. you can do whatever you want just make sure at that last second say sorry ,,and say it with feeling then you go to heaven

  18. All you have to do is know that Jesus has already paid YOUR penalty. All you have to do is ask him to forgive you, forgive others who sin against you and REPENT! He knows you, and already knows what you are going to do.

All it takes to get to heaven is to ask JESUS CHRIST to be your Lord and Saviour. Then it will be so and you will be an Child and Heiress to God.

  19. God knows we do not become perfect and sin free as soon as we accept Jesus.  however if you continually keep repeating the same sin, or sins over again, thinking it is ok because all you have to do is ask, and you will be forgiven is wrong.  We are supposed to fight against sin, and ask for His help in doing so.

We cannot lose salvation, but, any and every sin you commit after your salvation will have to be answered for before Jesus. HE will judge you in person. That goes for all Christians.

  20. this is what i believe:

God created us as sinners. He knows that we're going to sin, and that we will continue to sin even after asking for forgiveness. no matter how much we do that same bad thing over, and over again, He will still forgive us. But that doesn't mean that it's okay to keep on sinning knowing that he'll forgive us. Because then we're not genuinely sorry for what we did. So what i'm trying to say is that you will still go to heaven when you sin, if you've accepted, believed, and confessed. God expects us to sin, but he doesn't encourage it. So as long as you ask God for forgiveness and you truly are sorry...you're good! :)

Here's a little prayer I was taught. It's really simple and as long as you're genuine, God will accept you.

    ABC prayer:

A- tell Jesus that you accept him as your personal Savior.

B- tell him that you truly believe in Him, and only Him.

C- confess your sins to Him. Confess that you're a sinner and without Him you could not go to heaven.

I think it's a really simple prayer to remember, and I hope it'll help you, cuz it helped me!
