  1. Teaching:

pros: kids!  human contact, good schedule, summers off, meaningful work

cons: low pay, large classes, brats, parents, bureaucracy

    Business:

pros: good money, lots of options

cons: long hours, little time off, little freedom, not always rewarding

  2.    You need to do what makes you happiest. People who do what make them happy are always successful... eventually. I remember working for an aerospace company and putting my dream of working in law enforcement on hold. I stayed with the company for almost 5 years and made mucho dinero but after the first year i hated it. I am doing what makes me happy now and though i have not made as much money as i did at the aerospace company I am a very much happier person. My only regret is I didn't do it in the first place. Good luck.

  3. If you youare aleady in school for something else then you should continue doing that maybe it just means someday you will be a good momma

  4. You don't HAVE to be a teacher because you love children, it's always your choice. Plus, there are lots of other jobs that revolve around children, such as a professional babysitter, pediatrician, etc.

  5. You should ask yourself - "What do I want?"

Don't see the pros or cons.

Don't listen to what other people think what you should do.

Ask yourself and let you decide.

  6. Don't be a teacher.

  7. Well I don't know about the teacher  thing, but I can tell you my husband's best friend has a bachelor's degree in business/marketing and he cant find a job in his field.. hes still working for frito lay as a driver/route sales  3 years after graduating...  I would strongly suggest another field but teaching is something you have got to love otherwise it isn't really worth it....  the pay is not so great..... think about what you can see yourself doing  ten years down the road .. its good to listen to advice from other people but just because they offer it and you asked for their opinion doesn't mean you have to follow their advice. In the end only "YOU" can say for sure what "YOU" want to do with your life... Good Luck!

  8. Well my advice is..

Pros - You get to do what you like, spend time with the kids, and teach them. Doing something good for a kid is always good, and if it makes you happy, then maybe you should.

Cons - You have to take care of them. If you ever decide to have your own kids, then it can get pretty stressful. Kids in the class don't mind sometimes, and you have to stay on top of EVERYTHING. Or else you will get very behind. You have to put up with the yelling and dis - obeying of kids. So it might be something you wouldn't want to pursue. Then again, there's also the pay. I hear teachers at my old school gripe all the time about their jobs not paying as much as they'd like. Maybe the job for you is substituting, aside from your major. :) I hope this helps you make up your mind.

  9. follow your dreams. im following mine

  10. If you love kids and are great with them, then I say go for it! Of course, you might have to spend more time at school, [Ex: Meetings/ Conferences; Grading Papers; etc] but, you'll get to meet a whole bunch of awesome kids. But it mostly depends on what you think. Good luck! ^-^

  11. there are way to many biz majors in the US.

'possibly u would be easier to find a job in the teaching profession .. especially math!

  12. We're kind of in the same situation (except I'm not going down the business major path). Personally, I like working with kids 7 i'm good at it but I don't want to be a school teacher. My solution: Find a job that frequently deals with or revolves around children.

OR  if you're more of the adventurous type, you could continue down the business major path & then create a business that deals with or revolves around kids.

Hope that helped a little. Best Wishes!
