I am London Midland rail staff,do i need to pay for ticket to catch Virgin train?

Work for London Midland, have ID card as a rail staff .

Yes, unless you have protected priv (if your service in the railways started before 1996), you will show your staff card and get a reduced rate at the ticket office (its usually 25% of the fare) sometimes its cheaper to get advance tickets.

This is my understanding of it from someone I just asked now, As I was unsure of this.

If your going london, doesn't London midland run a service to london?
