You also need to get your head around the different currencies before you come - $13,000 is 6500 GBP - usually written £6500 - not e as we do not use European currency in the UK.

$13000 is in fact around €8300  (Euros - which is what they use in Europe)

NO WAY!  You need to get a job or have friends or family to put you up.  London is expensive, even for the Brits...that's why lots of them are moving out to the country and commuting.

I just came back from a 12 day European vacation.  Unless you have a job lined up or people to put you up and help you out until you can find employment, you may want to save a while longer.  Things are more expensive over there and the US dollar is at an all time low.  Good luck!

london is expensive. that wouldnt be enough.

euro and british pound are two different currencies. in euro its around 8000€. uk is a part of european union, except they kept their currency (british pound).

you would need at least 1000 pounds each month.
