Firstly, how do you get a perecentage of an object(on a calculator) and find a percentage of another number(on a calculator.) Finally, how do you find a percentage of another percentage on a calculator?

  1. Percentages are just numbers multiplied by 100.  Eg. 30% is 0.3, 59% is 0.59, 2000% is 20.  It's more trouble than its worth to use percentages on calculators just to get the little % sign attached to the number.

  2. LOL. I don't know. Please give est Answer to Me! I JUST NEED 10 MORE POINTS FOR LVL 2!!!!!

  3. To get the percentage of a number eg 4% of 20.. Divide 20 by 100 and multiply the answer by 4.

    4% means 4 over 100

  4. divide the smaller number by the larger and use the first two decimal places as your percentage.

  5. If you're looking for 80% of 500, you'd do .8 * 500 to get the percentage.

  6. To find 20% of 100 you would do 100 * 20 % = 20

    To find 50% of 20% of 100 you would do 100 * 20 % * 50 % = 10

To find a percentage of another percentage, just multiply them.

    Example: 30% of 80% =

    80 * 30 % = 24%.

  7. To find the percentage of a number, take the percentage, let's say 5% and multiply by the number. The trick is to move the implied decimal point 2 places to the left so 5% will become .05. ten percent will become .10. If the percentage you are working with is 1/2 of 1 percent, then that becomes .005. Just multiply that times the number you are trying to get the percentage of.

  8. Multiply the number by the corresponding decimal. So 20% of 100 would be 100 x 0.20 on the calculator. Same with a percentage of another percentage. In the example above, if you then wanted 10% of 20% of 100, you would say 100 x 0.20 = 20. Then that number (here the answer is 20) and multiply it by 0.10.

    Hope that makes sense.
