If you won't be able to get citizenship in UK, go to any EU country, such as Latvia and buy yourself a citizenship of Latvia. Because Latvia is part of EU, you are eligible to work anywhere in EU.

I'm in the process right now... fastest way... get married. My Fiance is a UK citizen and i'm a US citizen and i had the same questions as you. What we are doing is I'm getting a Fiancee Visa, getting married and going from there...There are loads of categories to choose from though if you want to be a student get a student visa, if you want to work get a working visa or if you have family there that's a really easy way too... no i dont know everything there is to know about the student and work visas i know they are up to 6 months stay like all the others but to find out more visit the websites below. Now if you have any other questions what you can do is find a UK embassy over here and find someone who consults in that area that's what we are going to do when my Fiance comes to visit me... i think it's the best route because they actually know what they are doing... I love it there too and i know how you feel... i'm very homesick right now for it!
