  1. Wow that sounds like a lot. I also just started high school as a freshman and I am learning how to keep my busy schedule organized too. It sounds like you got a lot on your hands maybe try dropping a few clubs. I mean its only your freshman year and whatever club you possibly drop this year you could get into next year. If your taking what I call "honors" classes and there too much for you talk with your parents and maybe that that subject in a College Prep course.

Hope this helps! Good luck in your freshman year!

  2. GEEK!!

  3. okay somone went a little overboard while choosing their high school classes.

those can't be your only classes? Dosen't your school require a second language? Wheres your science course? Don't you take any electives(only take joke electives if you need the credit, otherwise like me I take a research and acconting electives) Okay how into the clubs and community service are you? like are you incharge of the club, how often do they meet, how much additional work do these clubs require? Community service, in my school that is part of several clubs and takes place either in mornings, afternoon, weekend.

Now priority assuming you have the science and language course as well. The advanced placement english sounds like an elective or extra course. Its probably going to require the most work and time outside of school. So Geometry, college prep english, science, language, you should commit anywhere from 45-an hour and a half of time. If it takes to long stop, go onto another subject. You might have time later to finish it. AP english will probably going to take a normal 2 hours a night. expect around an average of homework to be around 8 hours or more.

since you do a sport each season your proably going to get home around 7:15. You now have 8 hours to do your homework. Which will bring you to 3:00 in the morning. Plus dinner and sorts. So around 4.

I had this problem before and I was so tired from my sport that homework took even longer. Sooner or later it all caught up with me, and I started sleeping late even through school. Best bet is find a way to concentrate, so you don't get distracted because your going to be doing a lot of homework in the hallways, inbetween classes and before your sport. Don't talk in class to much and just focus on getting your work done, it will reduce your workload. If you can afford it, hire a tudor to help you get through some of the work faster. What could take you 3 hours they can ususally get done with you in 1. Good luck to you.

  4. Why are you taking two English courses? I would say one is enough. If you are taking AP English, then drop the CP!  It is basically the same thing, but just a lower level!

I would also try and cut down on the clubs a little bit and the sports. Colleges love that stuff, but don't overdo it because colleges also love to see consistency. If you over-work yourself, chances are you will faulter at something. Pick one sport that you are very good at and concentrate on that for the fall. Then choose another for the spring. You don't have to juggle so many, especially as a freshman. Drop 3 clubs, seriously!

The most important thing about highschool is your studies! Focus on the now, not the future. Do not worry about cramming all these extra-curricular activities in so they look good on college apps. Work on your studies and please try and take it easy.

  5. Getting your required work done is most important.

drop something if it doesn't fit

  6. Dude, you do way too much. I'm 14 and I'm lucky if I get about a 1/4 of that stuff done in a day.

  7. OI, just be lucky your area offers all those things.

  8. Hey, how does a freshman get to do all of that?

  9. you should buy a PLANNER! it really helps with ORGANIZATION! im a freshman too and i see that when i have a planner i know what and when i have to do something. so you NEED to BUY one and put everything in order from morning to the end and you should also put the times in.

    hoped i helped!

    GOOD LUCK! (:
