I am a 14 year old male and I have rather hairy legs. Should I shave?

I personally am very touchy about my legs and I wear long pants 95% of the time and I am not sure if I should just shave them all the time so I can wear shorts. What do you think?

Naw. It's a lot of trouble. I'd advise you to stay in long pants, however. I hate shorts for myself, I'm always getting bug-bit, or scratches on my legs, which makes my legs all itchy.

No don't shave your legs , I had quite hairy legs at that age too and still do many years later

I was happy then and still am to have my legs on show

If any mates make comments it is probably because they are jealous that you are ahead of them in development

Shaving can also cause skin irritation and indeed sometimes just speeds up regrowth

Just get out there and show off those legs

absolutely not. you will regret it if you do. Shaving may cause more or coarser hair. Shaving is a pain. It is nothing to be ashamed of.

Are you on a swimming team? Are you on a bicycle racing team? They shave to increase their speed. Other than that;  The only boys or men I ever heard of shaving their legs were g*y.  What it means is that you a maturing into a MAN..  Your voice should change, if it hasn't already..  Hair on your legs, face, armpits, and pubic area is a natural process and if governed by genetics....

here's the thing:

U shave ur legs

the 1st, 2nd and the 3rd day, it will be looking really s**y, hot and clean.

But then it grows back much worse, much thicker and it wont be as soft as it used to be!!!

im 15, i have hairy legs too..... Everytime we have sport at skool we are to wear shorts, when i wear them, girls wont stop staring at my legs, they keep laughing and $H!T. lolzz

if you want to be s**y don't shave just USE Hair No More cream and eventually they grow back slightly then use Hair No More spray that will stop hair growing any more u can have slightly skin hair all over ur body you can change the hair density by useing cream and spray different ways. i hope this will help u. c ya

Count yourself lucky I was shaving at twelve and had a hairy back to boot.

Okay cons for shaving:-

*  You will get ingrown hairs

*  Hair growing back prickles and itches like h**l.

*  It has to be done every second day (if you don't want it to prickle and itch like h**l)

*  The hair will grow back thicker and tougher

*  Children are cruel and will make fun of you if they find out.

*  Your friends will think you're g*y, this is not a bad thing if you are, but you might not be ready to come out of the closet.  See children are cruel.

*  Shaving hurts and cutting your shin will not be a pleasant experience.

Pro for shaving :-

*  You can swim faster

*  You can ride a bike in races (not that you couldn't anyway)

*  Your friends will think you are g*y, which might be a way of advertising the fact.  Children are still cruel.

My advice... don't shave.  You're male live with it.

just leave your legs the way they are your a guy, once you start to shave your legs it's an every week thing some times more. There are lots of guys with hairy legs that is how lots of guys are. Don't be so self conscious it's only hair at least your not totally hairy with your back your arms your face your chest just your legs your fine don't worry wear your shorts no one cares but if you start to shave they may wonder why you have no hair on your legs since your a guy

Shaving them or not shaving them is a personal thing which you need to decide.  It's YOUR body not anyone else's and you should do what you feel is most comfortable for you.

Shaving your legs does not make you g*y.  It doesn't affect anything other than giving you hairless legs.

There is nothing wrong or right about it....shaved or not.

Do not let other's opinions about what THEY do affect what you want to do.

If you decide to shave your legs and some jerk makes a rude comment, then come back on him and ask him just why he was so interested in your legs in the first place....put it right back on him.

You don't stand out to people because of this as your a guy..I got embarrassed when I noticed my legs were kinda hairy but your growing and it's totally fine...You should be proud of this anyways because some boys may get jealous as your looking more like a man than they do if they haven't got hairy legs..I always wear shorts when it's hot and no-one looks at me stupid if they notice my legs...So calm down..
