  1. Permanent resident of where? Do you have to cross an international border to get to Canada? If so, you need a visa. If you are already residing in Canada, you don't.


  2. if you are a US permanent resident you do not need a visa but you will need written parental permission to cross the border if you are not traveling with them

    "Many people do not require a visa to visit Canada. These include:

    persons lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence who are in possession of their alien registration card (Green card) or can provide other evidence of permanent residence;"

    Just make sure you have proof of US permanent residence and your current passport. You will also need a notarized letter from your parents/guardians, giving you permission to cross the border into Canada and visit.
