I am a 16 year old girl and my little sister is 9 and she can not read very well!! how do i teach her how?

my sister is very slow when it comes to reading and i have no idea how to teach her how to read. my mom and dad don't care if she can read or not but she's about to be in the 4th grade and she doesn't even know how to read at a first grade reading level!! PLEASE HELP!!

  1. just read withher everday and teach her new words everday and maybe talk to her teacher and see if her teacher wouldnt mind helping ur sister after school and just work with ur sister everday nd give her a reading test once a week
