  1. Depending on when the last time the car was taken in for maintenance and repairs - it could range from a ticket and being stranded when the car is towed off..........to the car breaking down in a spectacular way and going off road and killing you - and maybe some other people (followed any of the incidents in Texas of a bus company sending tour buses full of people out in vehicles with bad tires, bad brakes, and unlicensed drivers?).

As Clint Eastwood says "do you feel lucky?"  If you keep driving that vehicle, you will need to be.

Getting it inspected will save you a world of stress every time you even think you see a police car.  It will also save you being picked up by your parents when you are pulled over and ticketed.

  2. ticket. how long have you had your license? if it's under 6 months and they catch you without inspection, they can take away your license until you're 18. it's a probationary period. but if you've had it for more than 6 months, you'll just get a ticket or a warning. when was it's last inspection? you usually just get a warning if it's under 3 months ago. unless you get a hardas$ of a cop and they'll ticket you. it's not a bad fine though. it also depends on where you live. in rural areas, you're less likely to get caught than in urban/suburban areas. the cops also like to hang out and have check points on entrances to the highway.

  3. beside a ticket towed and storage charge to get it out.. both of which would be higher than cheaper to get fix right
