I have lost 20 pounds so far and am in a plateau. I am an on again off again runner, so I figured if I have something to look forward to like a marathon, I will exercise regularly! SO what would you suggest my menu look like?

  1. Stuff like dry toast or bagel for breakfast, a banana for snack, lean meat for dinner(fish, chicken, etc), or pastas for lunch or dinner. You need to eat at least 5 smaller meals a day rather then 3 regular meals. This is key to losing weight. Drink plenty of water. Stay away from milk products like cheese, mayonnaise or other similar sauces or spreads, and butter.

As a runner you need carbs so the dry toast and pastas are definately what you need.

  2. What time of day do you run?

  3. If you are seriously and regularly training for a marathon, I don't recommend much change to your diet.  If you are just THINKING about training but not actually doing much, then you should do the following:

Change your lifestyle and do this forever.  Drink lots of water, walk, run, or swim an hour every day except 1 then do stretching and upper body toning.   Eat fruits & vegetables.

    No alcohol

    no bread

    no burgers

    No candy

    No chips

    no corn

    no fried foods

    No pasta

    No pizza

    No potatoes

    No sodas

    No sugar

    No energy drinks

    Good Luck
