I start classes for the first time this fall and have been awarded a pell grant(going 6 c hours, half time). Will I automatically be awarded the same amount for the Spring semester,(given that my grades are good and I am still going the same amount of time) that I was in the fall or will I have to reapply for federal aid pell grant again for th spring semester? I hav e been told both. I attend an Alabama community college. Will I have to submit a new fafsa for spring, or is the amount of reward good until next fall?

  1. an award should be good for an academic year (fall-spring). you should be awarded automatically in the spring with the same amount that you receive in the fall.

  2. you shouldn't have to re-apply, it should be carried through.
