IELTS exams are taken for getting admissions at some Australian universities and most particularly Cambridge univ at uk...its quite like TOFEL....for more info google it...its a basic requirement u need just like GMAT,CATetc...hope the ans satisfied u...all the best...even i am a 3rd year student of BE...
