  1. If you are holding a Bangladeshi passport then you must apply for Hong Kong Visa at least 30 days prior to commencement of your trip. This is true for all the applicant from Bangladesh. You may check with Chinese Embassy in Toronto or Consular section near to your city to find out exact requirements prevailing now.

Btw, previously Bangladeshi Passport holders were not required to have separate Visa for visiting Hong Kong if Chine Visa were affixed. I traveled to Hong Kong after visiting China in August 2006. But when in this May 2008 I tried to follow the same route (Dhaka - HK - Shanghai) where HK was my transit for Dragon Air I was advised by Chinese Embassy in Dhaka to get my Visa for HK and I found that it is a very cumbersome process in these days to obtain HK Visa as all the papers are sent from Chinese Embassy of your place to HK-SAR for the stamping of your Passport with visa, even if you are a transit passenger.

    Hope this would help.
