I am a Firefox user, for the last two weeks I have been getting full screen popups.?

Question

They open up just like a new browser window would , they range from dating service to winning laptops and cell phones from Apple. These popups are winmix.com, skilled2win.com, funbox.com, spyware-secure.com, wixawin.com, pc-on-internet.com, skill2thrill.com. I have used the top four spyware and popup blockers, nothing seems to work. I have also uninstalled firefox and re-installed it. it worked for about 30 minutes, then it was back again. Can any one help me with this problem?? Thanks.

Try installing Adblock Plus as an extension to Firefox.

I recommend that you install: Spybot-Search & Destroy http://www.spybot.com/en/download/index.... and SpywareBlaster  http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareb... These two (2) applications have proven their worth in spyware protection; and best of all they're both free and signature updated regularly. SpyBot S&D will delete spyware when found; while SpywareBlaster will block malware from being installed when you are online. Be sure that your definition files are also up-to-date.

You should run both antivirus and antispyware in Safe Mode. Running only anti-virus application will not necessarily protect you from spywares or malwares; and the vice versa is also true. So to be on the safe side, RUN BOTH in SAFE MODE.
