I am a Hypnotist , looking for Students , who want to learn Hypnosis. What's the best way to advertise ?

I once went to a Hypnotist but didn't rate his technique, to save face i pretended i was sedated but was fully aware. Could be i'm a difficult task, who knows:;-)

Avoid making outlandish claims, using big red letters, shouting, etc.  Don't over-promise.  Those alone will set you apart in the industry.  Maybe put up short instructional or demo videos on YouTube.  Make sure you have clear, well designed literature and websites.  Maybe start a blog on the Truth about hypnosis.  Be the voice of reason.  Answer peoples questions online, on this site, Yahoo Groups, and forums (but stay away from usenet), with a link to your site in your signature.  Give free or cheap lectures or seminars, to find people who are interested nearby.  Be visible and let your audience find you.

A Hypnotist could advertise under Entertainment, & a Hypnotherapist under Alternative Health.

Some of the best ways to advertise is word of mouth from your clients.  If you are a Certified Instructor from any of the larger organizations such as the National Guild of Hypnotists you will find that they have resources such as a Member Forum and CI news groups that give you different tools to advertise.
