Do I need a visa or can I just use my Mexican passport?

  1. Mexican citizens do NOT need a visa to visit Panama as tourists.  You can read the list of countries that DO need visas on the website below.  Mexico is NOT on that list...so you do not need a visa.


  2. All you need is your Mexican passport, once you get to the immigration window they will give you a tourist pass that will cost you $10.  

    Then that's it....

    I have an american passport and every time i travel to panama thats what they give me, but i am also a panamanian citizen so once i show them my panamania ID i don't have to pay the fee.

  3. It would be safer if you called the Panana Consulate in Mexico and ask. Sometimes what people post here is not true, some people do it on purpose and you might get into trouble. I know for sure that for Peruvians, they need a visa to go to Panana (but not for transit) but dont know for mexicans.

  4. You will need a kind of a tourism card that is valid for one month only. If you pretend to stay more you can apply for a tourism visa while you are in Panama using an attorney.
