I am a Sophmore at highschool with a 2.8, will that ruin my chances at gettting to good colleges?

Im in my 2nd sem. of sophmore I ended up with a gpa of 2.8. but my 1st sem. was a 3.0. Will that 2.8 mess me up in the long run?

  1. If you continue with anything like a 2.8 GPA you will not get into a good college. You must significantly raise your GPA./


  2. shape up now. get a tutor or focus or whatever because if you maintain that 2.8 you can't even get into most community colleges. my suggestion is raise your grades up to B/A range and take summer school classes to make up those bad grades. Then aim for tons of extracurriculars and apply to a community college after senior and transfer to a four year college after that. If you transfer from community colleges have to take you. of course you need two years of community and pass your classes.

    oh and its a myth that collleges don't look at freshman year. they are starting to really consider freshman year grades.

  3. Colleges look at the average GPA of grades 10-12. I don't think it's anything major, but you definitely want to raise your GPA next year, and don't slack off your senior year.
