I have indefinite leave to remain in the UK. I want to apply for a British passport, but at the same time I do not want to loose my South African citizenship. What do I need to do.

Someone mentioned something about Retention of South African Citizenship -I looked this up on the internet and found an application form, but no return address. Anyone have any information that might be able to help me.

you just apply for UK citizenship since you have the right to have dual citizenship.

if you enter South Africa? you must use your South Africa passport .you used to get a warning if you used a different passport to enter and used your new nationality for preferential treatment somewhere else.Spanish Embassy in London, United Kingdom

so always carry both when traveling to South Africa .

i could not find a web page for Spain, so send them an email or visit the consulat in London .

since the UK is not in the schengen zone , as a spouse of a UK citizen ,you will need a visa ,
