  2. no well not if u plan to stay any longer than 3 months then i think u need one best bet is to get a working visa u can stay for up to a year and it costs £90 fella u can apply on the immi website and it takes 6-8 weeks sometimes less.

and if u do harvest work for 3 months you can stay an extra year or do what i am gonna do and just live out there its way better than uk.

  3. Yes, but it's not a visa in the usual sense of the word for British citizens. It's called an ETA, and it's basically an electronic visa you apply for online, enter your passport details, etc and it's electronically asigned to your passport and shows up on the computers at check-in - no need for a physical visa. If all is clear, your online application is approved in 30 secs. They cost $20.00 Australian, or about £9.50.

  4. Your UK residence is immaterial. What counts is your current citizenship. For details on Australian visa options, go to:

    http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/tourist/...

  5. If you are only on holiday for a few weeks or up to 3 months just come over with your passport and  unless you are a suspect or they have reason to detain you then you can just come in as a visitor. It's done automatically when you enter. You will have a form to fill out on the plane. Confirm with your travel agent

  6. Yes everyone needs a visa to enter. You can apply on line - it is very easy and will not take long

  7. Of course you need a visa :)

Try the electronic visa, easy to apply for online and can be approved within minutes. Note that, an ETA visa only allows you to visit Australia for a short period (12 months from date of issue), you may not work while in Australia. See http://www.nationalvisas.com.au/visitor/... for the requirements.

But if you're planning to work while in Australia, get the working holiday visa instead. It allows you to travel Australia for 12 months with the option of part-time or casual employment.

    Good luck :)
