  1. Sparks is right.  Cars cost less in the U.S., the ins. is cheaper if you bring your u.S. car to Mexico, and you do NOT have to register it in Mexico.  It is really MUCH better to have a car purchased and registered in the U.S.  Then, all you have to do is get a Mexican car permit...it is good as long as you keep a valid FM3, and get Mex. car ins for it...there are many good places.  See articles below about the car permit and my favorite ins. place.  You CAN buy a car in Mexico, but why?  The car permit fee for someone with an FM3 is about $100.00usd...and you only have to buy it one time...godd as long as you keep renewing your FM#.   If you never want to drive that car in the U.ñS . , you do not have to worry about keeping the tags renewed...but if you will be driving it into the u.S., you will need to renew your tags in your official state of residence ther...use a family members home address.

  2. Simple - Go to car dealer once you are in Mexico and buy car !!!!!

  3. Buy it, register it and get Mexican insurance at twice what you'd pay if your car had US plates
