  1. It depends what citizenship you hold. What country are you a citizen of?  If you are a citizen of Switzerland, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein or the EU, you don't need a visa. If you are not, you will need a work permit, working holiday visa, indefinite leave to remain or something similar.

    The UK is starting a points based immigration scheme. This means that people who work in industries that the UK needs (such as doctors), people with a university/college degree, people who speak fluent english and younger people will gain more points than other people, and therefore find it easier to migrate to the UK.


  2. Basically you permanent residency card from the US and Italy .

    You will need a visa to work in the UK (i.e. your italian permanent residency is not transferrable within the EU
