I am a US citizen and my fiance is British and we want to get married in spain. can we?

basically i am in England now and dont want to go home to get a fiance visa it takes to much time and money. and we were told that if to marry here in england i need a fiance visa from the US. i heard we can in Scotland and it is valid. but id rather in Barcelona Spain. so my question would it be valid? and what would paper work would we need in order to do that??

Yes you can marry in spain and it will be legal,youre fiancee is british and as spain is part of the european community ,you can marry there,i am british and living in spain 8 years now and have all the rights as if i was living in england you can get the travel agents to arrange it all for you,and they will help you with al the requirements needed,good luck and have a wonderful time in barcelona its a great place.

Yes.  You can get married anywhere by meeting the requirements of that place.  A travel agent may help and there may even be a specialist for this.  Check the Spanish embassy.
