extend my stay at canada? is it possible. will a extension cause complications when i return to USA?

Don't worry. As long as you don't stay more then 3 months I believe its not a problem. They'll ask you how long you were over when you return through customs on the way home.

Stay as long as you like, you just can't work!  We have no visa requirements with the US -- yet...
