  1. we all lose confidence at some point!

    BUT DONT STOP.

keep going you will be allright

Do an hour walk everyday to get that fat of your stomach and just eat healthy

    :)

    xx

  2. you shouldnt stop, you should just work on your stage confidence.

    good luck!

  3. If that can make you stop maybe you should consider how dedicated you really are to dance. I have danced through sickness, pain and everything. I deal with pain everytime I dance so you need to see if you are dedicated. I have been dancing 12 years , almost 13 and never once would I consider stopping any style I do!

  4. Don't stop!!!!!

Hey don't feel bad bout your stomac!!! I have a fat one too, but I do ballet!!!!

Just tuck your stomack in!!! Don't listen to other people!! Feel confident and proud!!!

  5. Take it from another 15 year old dancer...DON'T STOP! We all have our bad moments, but we get over them. I once kicked off my tap shoe during the middle of a competition dance. It was so embarrassing, but i kept going. My friends and i laugh about it all the time. Just because you forgot ONE TIME out of all the other times you performed does not make you a bad dancer. A bad dancer would quite now, and a good dancer would forget about her mistake a quickly as possible and move on. You must be a good dancer, you have been dancing for 8 years! Don't let one moment ruin your passion. Keep going, and God bless.

  6. Don't stop dancing. You just may have other things on your mind right now, or maybe you're stressed out.

If you just stop, you're going to regret it. Maybe you should just lighten up for a little while.

  7. You hit a critical point. You should be glad that you made a mistake like this when you really had no stress. Try to recognize how or why you blanked out. Typically if we put too much stress or not enough stress on ourselves we can make large mistakes like this. I imagine that because it was a party and it was for a fun time that you may not have put the discipline into the routine and practiced it like you would a performance/recital. Also be glad you werent at a paid job in front of an audience. The best times to make a mistake are when you cant be fired! Now that you are moving to canada this could be a great way for you to make new friends! Let dance lead you into a new social life and dont worry, you dont have to tell your new friends what your old friends know!

There was another poster in the past couple weeks that was a dance teacher. She actually performed in a recital with her students and she blanked out just like you did. Now can you imagine what type of embarassment that is? Thats like a lawyer forgetting the law!

Also remember people love to goto live events because they never know what is going to happen! those little mistakes can actually turn into enchanting moments sometimes.

Dont worry, goto canada. Make new friends, find the right studio for you! You will inevitablly fail in the future, thats not important. Without the risk of failure you have no future.
