Where is a good source for learning new Hebrew word for a beginner. Is there also a source of the most used words in Hebrew that I should learn first? Thanks!

  1. I'm not sure of online references, but you can stop by a Judaica shop or your nearest synagogue with a Hebrew School program and see if they have text books. I would recommend learning letters and then words-- that's how the programs at Hebrew Schools are structured; you learn a few letters at a time and words with those, and then move on. Learning words at once will only allow you to memorize those words, not learn the language. But "todah rabah" (thank you very much) and "bevakasha" (please) are good lines to start with. :-)

  2. why are you asking in the SPECIAL ED section?  what does this have to do with the education of people with physical and/or mental disabilities???

  3. I would suggest going to your local library and search their resources for Cd's and books.
