I am 2-0-1 as a Amateur Muay Thai fighter, but Muay Thai is much to hard on my body leaving me unable to function for a couple of days after a fight and leaving me injured after almost every training session, so I would like to find something less hard on the body as well, but still effective.

  1. wrestling is technically a martial art so i say it would be perfect 4 u. amateur wrestling, not professional, unless u r a good actor.

  2. You might want to go to Ju-Jitsu.  It still is a little hard on the body, but you aren't getting punched or kicked.

  3. I'm 6'1 250 pounds and I'm doing Tae Kwon Do, it help keep me stretched out.

  4. IMO it seems that you already have enough knowlede in striking to be effective...and being a small guy facing a big guy, my goal would be to take you down to level the playing field so any art involving groundwork/takedown defense (including wrestling) would make you a more effective fighter...your knowledge in the use of elbow strikes would make up for the loss of range & once a 6'2/260 guy has you in full mount, ground & pound becomes just that...at that size, I think cardio would be a bigger obstacle than your opponent.

  5. wrestling. u can slam ppl and do real damage with ur height. sambo or grecko use mean slams.

  6. with that size who would make you that angry?no seriously talk to an expert

  7. I would suggest Japanese Jiu Jitsu.

You might also want to consider stick fighting.

The jo, the walking stick, the cane, there are a variety of different techniques in many different martial arts.

Do a search on "La Canne" and "Pierre Vigny"
