    Global Village Programme

Be prepared to pay for your own transportation and accommodation, and perhaps an additional fee to cover security, translation, staff supervision, etc. Also, you will need to get insurance coverage.

  3. Hi, I think I know the place but need to get the number  for you tomorrow.

ADDED: The first organization I was thinking of has oppportunities to work with IOCC and  Habitat for Humanity in the Gulf coast. The IOCC phone number is 410-243-9820. I was told that they can get airfare and lodging for you for $300 for the whole week and I have a good idea where you can go for assistance for that amount money to travel and stay there. Just ask me.

I will check with the other places for you. I am sorry that nothing turned up on the first call for you for Asia or Africa.

  4. While I understand why you want to go oversea's let me suggest something else. I work in for Habitat in the Gulf Coast and we could use as many skilled volunteers as we can get. There are many options besides New Orleans and most of them will provide you with volunteer housing and meals at a decent price. We do get a lot of volunteers but the majority of them are unskilled, we are always looking for leaders. But if your heart is set on going overseas then by all means check out a global village trip with Habitat.

  5. I like what Jayne answered.  Good luck.
