  1. I don't like buying Chinese products if I can avoid them - frankly I have heard too many stories about unhealthy food products coming from there and badly made products. But I'm not fanatical about this. Both my computer and guitar are made in China and work perfectly. Only some products I avoid.

I don't like the government at all. It is way too oppressive and cruel in my opinion. The censorship is particularly bad.

I've never been to China but I've heard it is very crowded and cramped and there is lots of pollution in the cities. I don't think I could live there, being brought up in a very clean, spacious enviroment but I'd want to visit.

Chinese food is awesome. Next to Mexican, it is my favourite "foreign" food.

Chinese people in general, I don't have any problem with. I think they are very intelligent and capable. I have a Chinese friend from Beijing who I regularly play badminton with, and I know a handful of others too, all good people I enjoy having around.

  2. I have never visited your country so all I have to base my opinion on is what I hear and read in the news media and that is not a very reliable source. I do not have a good impression of life or government in China. I hope to one day visit so that I can form an opinion based on what I see and experience for myself. I hope you were looking for honest answers.

  3. I lied about my age to buy beer, not perform gymnastics.

  4. Thats because people in china are scared that they will be killed or somthing okay communism isnt a bad idea! everybody even but it isnt some people think thats communism in china but its Despotism what i think about the olympics is that all these innocent lives ruined because of the Olympics which is sad and sadistic and that why doesnt china Revolt???? Do they like being opressed? what is it comon France did it centuries ago China is a great country but why havent they?? And Japan is in much better economy state then china and has better people rights and more room i would rather go to Japan then China

  5. I love China and Japan, Im hoping to visit there one day. Im interested in the culture and Im learning Shukokai Karate and learning some japanese on the way!....I also looooove chinise food : ) : ) : )

  6. I think it was 20 billion pounds spent on the Peking Olympics.A lot of money, the average peasant earns u.s$200 a month.People in the city of Peking, were forcibly evicted from their homes, without adequate compensation and in many cases,no compensation at all,to make way for Olympic related buildings.Thousands of families relocated to?nowhere,no compensation no alternative housing offered or given. The olympics were a lie from start to finish. The communist government promised that people would be free to come and go wherever they wanted,it was a lie.The media was assured that they would be given the freedom to conduct interviews with the people in Peking,it did not happen, foreign reporters had a Chinese government "minder" who told people being interviewed that their comments would not show China in a good light and interviews were terminated so,it was another lie.The competing athletes were given assurances that they would be able to mix freely with the Chinese athletes, another lie.Congratulations,A little girl barred from appearing because she did not project the perfect image to match the voice. The computer graphics of the opening ceremony. The lies about gymnasts ages. The disgraceful judging by the Chinese in the martial arts categories. With the human rights issues of this totalitarian regime, the games should never have been awarded to Peking,it was a travesty from start to finish. This is an honest reply to your question.

  7. cheap labour

    overpopulated

  8. I had never been very interested in travelling in Asia at all, but I tell you what after seeing some of the beautiful footage from the olympics it looks like a wonderful country. I still wouldn't like the hustle and bustle of the city but I would definitely be interested in seeing some of the beautiful scenery.

You guys pulled off a great olympics!

  9. That all items are made in china.

  10. First I remember Tibet. That makes me just so sad.

Your country is huge and has very interesting and fascinating culture. But I don't like your government and well, communism in general, because the idea might be good, but it just doesn't work. A lot of people are suffering and missing the most common and plain rights. It's sad, but I must agree with Taisanboku.

  11. Fascinating culture

    Rich history

    Interesting politics
