  1. Very unfortunate that you seek money as your life's goal. Had you sought excellence in your chosen line and worked doggedly for it you wouldn't have been in this state. It's time to think like that or else you will continue to complaint without any tangible result. (Remember Jesse Jackson's words: Tears would bring sympathy but sweat would bring change.)

Copy writing is also a highly paying line provided you excel in it. Jaideep Sahni, the man who scripted "Chak de India" has been a copy writer. All big ad firms employ copywriters and pay handsomely the best ones.

Getting an MBA does not gurantee to become a "successful marketing professional". It depends on your result which comes from your positive attitude which in turn, brings excellence provided of course, that you are ready to sweatout. Marketing is not an easy job, it's as hard as becoming a first rate hero/heroine in Bollywood.

So, start fixing life's goal (much higher than earning money; a swindler also makes it.), then plan for it and start sweating right away.

  2. Marketing will get you better stability and money over creative writing.  You could also pursue creative writing in your spare time.  And you can be successful in Marketing w/o your MBA, but the MBA will open more doors, so pursue it if you can.

    Good Luck!

  3. There are few jobs that pay better than copywriting if you are good at it.

Check out Gary Halbert's site. He was one of the top copywriters earning millions for his clients. Sadly he passed on last year but all his work is still archived.

Or look at Ted Nicholas's site. He is another of the top copywriters charging thousands for his work.

Tale a look at this site from Brian McElroy. He makes a six figure income as a copywriter and he's only in his twenties.

Check out elance.com for all the people seeking copywriting. There has never been a higher demand for good copywriters, and if you are good you can charge a fortune.

  4. Marketing makes so much more money than a copywriter.
