I am a dancer? help?

heey

i have been doing jazz for 8 years now, i have done all my exams and everything. i have only been doing ballet for 2 years and i do not plan to do exams but i am very good at it. does this mean that icannot be a pro ballerina if i do not do the exams? i know i can for jazz cos i do the exams but for ballet can i even be a teacher without the exams or what? im so confused, because i want to be a ballet teacher, but do i need exams?

  1. To be a professional ballerina you will need to take exams!

    the dance industry will not accept dancers without the right grade or degree.

    Also, if you have BAL or RAD etc. next to your name on a resume for a dance studio,

    they will surely allow you to teach..

    you can search through different dance school sites..

    they all have a grade in dance overall.

    becoz your very good at it!! Give a go at exams!

    once your have seaten your exams you'll likely move up to a higher grade..

    therefore you'll be en pointe quicker.

  2. I am a ballerina and i once asked the same question. To be a dance teacher in a certain area of dance, you need to have a degree in that area. Exams is what gets you that certificate. Take my advice and become the best ballerina you can. I have faith in you. GOODLUCK!!!
