  1. Wow.  I can't imagine that!  You must be a really organized and patient person, as well as having nerves of steel!

Two year olds like to play copy-cat games, there are songs like 'head, and shoulders, knees and toes, where you put your hands on each body part while you sing the song.  You can crawl on the floor and play follow the leader to snack time .... bubbles that are safe for toddlers eyes can be a hit too, they make bubble guns now that are battery operated and blow the bubbles for you. So you can play pop the bubbles with them.  I am all for mass amounts of toys, you can rotate the toys so they don't always have the same stuff every day.

I wish you all the best, I never could have done it with eight two year olds.  I would never be able to keep all their diapers changed in time and I would fall apart trying to get them all down for a nap at once!

  2. Crafts are always fun. Bright, colorful clay always keeps children busy and isn't very messy. Large blocks are also safe, motor- skill developing fun. Fitting in more counting, colors, letters, and learning songs (think Barney " and never let the water run, yeah!" is a good idea too; they'll have an advantage. Picture games are excellent as well. Showing children pictures of items basic and unexpected, from chair to sunsets, is interesting as well.

  3. sandbox play if you have an outdoors or a wading pool on hard floor...you can use other materials like rice or beans too.

    play food is great

Run and chase...my 2 year olds will spend 10 minutes at a time simply running in circles around the house..we call it run and chase...they never catch each other, just run for fun.

one sits on a towel and the other tries to pull them on the floor ( or an adult pulls them)

at random times start a participation song...like if you're happy and you know it, or act out "teddy bear teddy bear turn around" or Old macdonald...everyone stops and does it, then they can go back to free play.

fine motor stuff, like peeling the paper off of crayons, or popping the kernals off of field corn will entertain some.

    do a puppet show.

    act like animals

Okay, that's all I can think of right now.  Good luck

  4. first off, i would like to make a comment about the people saying that this is illegal for you to keep 8 two year olds. in my state [[north carolina]] a certified early childhood education teacher [[daycare teacher]] can care for up to 5 infants, six 1-year-olds, TEN 2-year-olds, fifteen 3-year-olds, and twenty 4-year-olds. the laws for the teacher-child ratio differ in each and every state.

you can try all sorts of activities with them, there are tons of stuff to do with 2 year olds. i personally enjoy doing golf ball, string, and texture painting in the 2 year old classroom i intern at. try googling preschool activities or lesson-plans and just browse through the websites to get different ideas. good luck!

  5. I actually do not believe that you are allowed by law to care for 8 two year olds by yourself...

  6. you can let do finger paints with pudding and put food coloring in it and they can learn there colors

  7. Hmmm...2 year olds are considered toddlers and ratios for toddler/teacher is 5:1. Hmmm...How did you get away with that? Are you licensed?
