I would appreciate info about work availability and wages. If an employer reads this from there please e-mail me. I have 18 years experience.

  1. Working holiday visas are available for those aged 18-30 and are valid for 12 months.

    Check the following site

    http://www.immi.gov.au

However, as you have 18 years experience you would probably not fall into this category.

There are various other visas available, most noticeably for the temporary importation of workers with required skills.

Again, the website will give you information on this.

You basically need to get an employment offer, and I don't know where building trade jobs are advertised, but its up to you to start looking.

  2. My bro and dad are both in the building trade and do plastering (thats what we call it here). Pay for them is about $30 an hour but you can get paid per job or by the hour depending on your employer. Although you will have to watch that your visa has an employment clause as it's a little hard t o get a job if you work illegally. But you can still find them. It would be for less money and all cash work. You also haveto have a blue card (kinda like a safty cert) for working and you get them online and pay $60 i think. Really easy to get.
