  1. You can find a job.  Your education is still good. Having a felony may keep you from getting some jobs but there are plenty of others out there.  If it has been years since the felony, you will probably be okay.  Congratulations on turning your life around.

  2. Yes, a lot of employers also look at the nature of the felony, and the circumstances, and age etc. Also since you are a female, it will help.

The Bachelor's Degree, as long as it's not from University of Phoenix, is a very powerful tool. Use it at your advantage. Hopefully, once people touch that diploma, they will understand you are educated.

Make sure to mark it on your application if you think they will find out, and have a good explanation, also add that you are a single mom. Dont waste time applying for a nursing, banking, or other sensitive position. You might once you have experience, but you will waist time if you do now.

Overall, you should be fine, and if you are not, then without the felony, it would have been almost just as hard.

  3. Depending on how long ago your felony was you can petition the court as long as it is not a violent felony for a release of disability and as long as you show that you have turned your life around and would never do  it again they may release that from your record.
