i am a filipina and i have a boyfriend living in Peru,his inviting me to go there, what procedures do i have to follow or do i need a us transit visa before i go?

If your trip to Peru has a stop-over in the US, you will be required to go through immigration so, if filipinos need a visa to enter the US,  you will need a visa for the US (rules have changed. two years ago you could transit through the US without doing immigration, but due to tougher rules after the terrorist attacks, now all foreigners going through the US have to go through immigration). If your trip does not go through the US you will not need a US visa.

I used to work for an airline and if you're just connecting and catching another plane in the US then I don't think you need a visa. Just make sure before you go to the airport cuz I've had thousands of passengers without the required documentation or sometimes expired passports and they're not able to fly. They also have to pay a change fee which can be up to $150 dollars, at least with Air Canada =P.
