No, you do not need a transit visa...because in the U.S. there is no longer any such thing as a transit visa.  Instead, international travelers simply changing planes in the U.S. , must go through a special customs inspection, then wait in an international waiting room until time for their departure.  You can verify this by using the site below.  Just enter your nationality, transit point , and destination and click for the info.  It will explain what I just told you.
