  1. Every State Government and Leaders have discretionary funds.

  2. Davidmi7 gave accurate information. Well done! I am assuming that your fire was a residential fire (your home), and not a fire at your business.

Here is a link to the American Red Cross. There is a box where you can type in your zip code, and contact information for your local Chapter of the Red Cross will pop up:

    American Red Cross

    http://www.redcross.org/

I do wonder why your local fire department did not call your Red Cross Chapter for you? My sister lost her home to a fire, and the fire department called the Red Cross, and they sent someone to 'the scene' within an hour.

  3. I had a fire on july 13, 2007 yes friday the 13th anyway, I'm not gonna lie it sucks. Its hard even with insurence all they do is try to s***w you over on things. But just keep track of you expenses and you might what to make a list of everything you lost as soon as possible while ll your items are still fresh on you mind. Besides that your fire marshal should have some info on how to move things along and you can always count on friends and family. Also the clean up company servpro are a bunch of con artist if you ask me they charged us 8,000 just for cleaning and storing 3 bedroom sets.

p.s. I hope nobody got hurt, best wishes for you and your family

  4. The American Red Cross often helps families displaced by fire. They can also refer you to other local agencies that can help. You may also want to contact your local United Way office. They have contact with most of the local charities in an area and can help you find the right one.

    Good Luck!
